September Newborns

We have been behind in the blog scene, our apologies. We are dedicating this blog to all the new babies born within the last month or so. Congrats to all the mommies and daddies who have a sweet addition to their family! Please enjoy all of the wrinkles, itty bitty fingers and toes, soft skin, and innocence. Hello, can we say natural high? There are plenty more photos of each of these babies, these are just some of our favorites! ENJOY- and as always, we love feedback!

~Sweet Baby Girl, Layla~

We photographed this little one and her big brother. Talk about an amazing pair. Mom and dad are going to have their hands full, these kids are going to be heart breakers!!

SPECIAL DELIVERY!!
Look at this proud big brother!! He has the most gorgeous eyes we have ever seen!!
With a butterfly kiss and a ladybug hug, sleep tight little one, snug as a bug in a rug.

~Soft and sweet, Joslynn~

We went to school with the proud parents of this little one. It sure is amazing how quickly life changes after high school...friends come and go, people get married, have kids, life evolves. We were so pleased that mom, K, asked us to take photographs of her little girl. We spent a few hours over there, talking and comparing stories, laughing and just basking in the simplicity of the newness of Joslynn. Congrats you guys!

Look at how beautiful she is. One of our favorite shots of the day!

Who doesn't love a sassy bow/headband on a little girl?
Or we can keep it sweet and innocent...
I wish I could spend my days like this, soaking up the sun, lounging around, not a worry in the world!

~Handsome Nickson~

We had the honor of taking photographs of this cutie pie!! His dad's love for golf inspired this photo.

MMM! Love the light with this one. Sunkissed laundry with a baby-boy tucked inside! Doesn't get much sweeter than this!

We are suckers for babies scrunched up all on their own. This little guy cooperated so well. We couldn't have asked for a more content fella!
Of course- being Wolverine fans, this one warms our heart too! They are such a great looking family! Even the dog got to join in on the photos! Talk about a well-trained dog!

Little Lady~ Harper

We know Harper's mommy through a friend of a friend- we took her maternity pics and now her newborn pics too! This little girl is the 4th daughter and boy was she fun to do photos of. Of course mom let us have fun with her, try some things that we have always wanted to experiment with before now. Thanks Sarah! ;)

Oh my- so angelic! Love the coloring in this one. Totally shot on a whim and boy was it worth it!

This one makes our heart happy- she is just so stinkin' cute, all bundled up. The hat totally suits her personality too! It just- fits!

This one was Sarah's idea- it turned out absolutely beautiful! All because two people fell in love.

Look at those eyes- so stunning! Look out daddy, she'll be wrapped around your finger in no time!

~Michigan State, Mica~

His mommy had us do maternity photos also of her- Urban Country Mama is what we called her. Mica is the newest addition to this family and big sister, Mia absolutely adores him. We did some favors, honored a favor from mom and took some Michigan State photos. (We are Maize and Blue fans but this one was just too cute to pass up!)
Look at all of the little details, right down to the hair and pouty lip. Oh how we love babies!
He just pops right out of his bright blue baby blanket!

Sleep tight, little one.

As always we thank you for checking out our blog... we hope you enjoyed what you saw!

Frog Island engagement pics!

We've been very behind in blogging but wanted to send out this blog per a special request! ;)

We know the bride-to-be through Kristina (she's her co-worker at her "real job"). We were so excited when we found out we were going to be the chosen ones to photograph her engagement photos. She had so many ideas she wanted us to try, and of course, we had some great ideas up our sleeves too. We hope you enjoy what you see. We love feedback! Also- check us out on facebook!

All because two people fell in love.

What a nice looking family! Poor Sarah- the only female of the family. (Girl power! hehe) She is a great mom and will soon make a beautiful bride!

Big Brother "K" was such a wonderful help while we did engagement photos of mom and dad. Funny story about this photo: K was pushing C in the stroller all around the park however when he was pushing C down this hill (much steeper than it appears) he almost lost control of the stroller and quickly picked up speed as he ran towards us. Needless to say, K wasn't allowed to push C down the hill anymore during our session! :)

Cute little "C" wouldn't sit still for anything. Not even for a fruit snack. I guess that's what we should expect from an 18 month old!!

We loved the colors in this one! Hopefully they did too!

We of course had to get a shot of the bling!!
*sigh* - look at how happy they are together!!

Wishing you two a happy start to your life together as husband and wife, hand in hand.

Mr. Jackson

We had the pleasure of photographing this active little guy twice. The first time we met him at the park and the second time we met him at his family farm. He is a boy of many faces and wasn't too fond of smiling for us but we were able to capture a couple good ones of this cutie pie! Enjoy!

"Dad, is that you?" - Jackson listening to his dad talk through the special microphone at the park.

And of course what trip to a farm doesn't have a picture of a child on a tractor or playing in the cornfield. As a matter of fact, one of the first things Jackson said was "I want a picture of me in the corn." He also proceeded to look for the door in the corn. He wasn't too successful in finding the door, but we LOVE this picture (even if he isn't looking at the camera)!

Check out the wonderful shadown!

We were shown around the family farm, saw Jackson ride on several tractors, lawnmowers and even a 4 wheeler. This wonderful shot made our day!

Thank you Jackson and the S family (and Spooky daddy). We had fun on the farm!

If you like what you see- leave some love!

The H Family

We had the pleasure of shooting the expanding H family and the glow of mommy H. How much more beautiful can this next picture be?
The love between these two is very evident- so natural.

And the shoes- oh my! So teeny tiny!

Beauty at its finest.

We're ready when you are, handsome baby boy. We look forward to watching you grow!

Thank you for letting us share in your blissful moments H family!

Holli-

During the last week we also had the opportunity to photograph Holli (who is due anytime now-could have fooled us, we never looked that good full term), her husband and their son. We had such an amazing shoot, tons of variety, lots of vibrant color, and of course a beautiful subject.

Here are a few of our favorites...

Gotta love the belly peeking over the feet!

What a beautiful family!

Such natural beauty.

Thank you Holli and family for letting us share in this special moment in your lives.

Lindsaya: Urban Country Mama

We were honored to photograph Lindsaya and her expanding family (literally). She is one cute, sassy mommy-to-be and we enjoyed every second of her belly session. After getting to know her and her personality we decided she was "Urban Country" and she wears this title proudly.

Here are a few sneak peeks, enjoy.

Lindsaya and her daughter, Mia, who at first was pretty shy but then came out of her shell. She advised us to where we should do the next photo and what poses her mom should do. Future photographer? Probably. :)

The field picture that made the trek worth it. (Sorry if you got poked/pricked by the prickers...!)

All because two people fell in love...

Congrats. We can't to meet the little one!
